“Ron
Steelman, Emmy and Addy Award-winning writer and producer, musician, was recently the Director of Marketing for the Grand
Opening season of Red Bank’s new arts complex, the Two River Theater. Mr. Steelman’s Red Bank connection actually
began many years ago when he directed Mr. Basie and his world-famous orchestra in a series of radio and television commercials.
Since those "days of old"
Steelman was a writer and producer at the first interactive cable venture, Warner/Qube, in Columbus, Ohio. Later he helped to create the billion dollar QVC Network. In Los Angeles Steelman
was the archivist, photographer, and database designer for the vintage American poster collection of Mark and Maura Resnick,
which recently was exhibited at the prestigious Rochester Institute of Technology.
In a previous life, Steelman appeared as an actor for many seasons at the New Jersey Shakespeare
Festival in Madison, the McCarter Theatre in Princeton, at
numerous regional repertory theaters, and hosted a children's educational TV program. You may have even seen Steelman's turn
on Seinfeld as Jerry's "Cousin Arty" in episode #3.”
